Silent Meditation

When: December 14, 2025, 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM All times are shown in Arizona (America/Phoenix).

Silent meditation with Geshe Namgyal is a gentle invitation to return home to the natural clarity of our own mind. In the quiet presence of Geshe, the atmosphere becomes calm, spacious, and supportive—like sitting within a still mountain valley. Without words or instruction, Geshe-la’s steady awareness guides us, helping us rest softly in the simplicity of the present moment. In Tibetan Buddhist tradition, silence is fullness. It is a sacred space where our thoughts settle, our breath deepens, and the mind begins to reveal its own peaceful nature. By simply sitting in stillness—watching the flow of breath, allowing thoughts to rise and dissolve—we reconnect with our inner strength, compassion, and wisdom. This simple practice becomes a doorway into the vastness of our own heart. The benefits of silent meditation are both immediate and far-reaching. Over time, our mind grows more steady and less reactive. Tension softens, clarity increases, and we gain the ability to meet life’s challenges with more patience and ease. Silent sitting purifies emotional turbulence, nurtures inner peace, and helps us recognize that beneath all movement and distraction lies a radiant calm that is always available. Practicing with Geshe Namgyal also connects us to an unbroken lineage of meditators who have cultivated peace and compassion since the time of Buddha, himself. Geshe’s presence gently strengthens our confidence and intention. Whether we sit for a few minutes or the full hour, we join a tradition that reminds us that true healing and transformation begin within our own mind. In this shared silence, we discover that stillness is not an absence, but a profound blessing—a place where the heart becomes clear, the mind becomes kind, and wisdom naturally arises for the benefit of all beings.
