About Emaho Foundation
Emaho Foundation, based in Phoenix, Arizona, is our Tibetan Buddhist nonprofit center founded in 2001 by ZaChoeje Rinpoche. From the beginning, Rinpoche envisioned a welcoming place where people from all walks of life could learn, practice, and grow. Today, Emaho shares the richness of Tibetan culture across the globally, supports humanitarian initiatives around the world, and offers a nurturing home for individual spiritual development. Guided by the principles of nonviolence, wisdom, compassion, and joy, we embrace the Six Perfections as the heart of our work.
Spiritually, our community is guided by ZaChoeje Rinpoche and our resident monks, who offer teachings, meditations, workshops, retreats, and empowerments both in person and online. These programs serve students near and far, providing accessible pathways to deepen understanding, cultivate compassion, and explore what it means to take universal responsibility. Through study and practice, we learn to create more peaceful, loving lives for ourselves, our families, our communities, and all sentient beings.
