This retreat offers participants the opportunity to deepen their connection with Manjushri, the bodhisattva of wisdom. Over the course of two days, we will explore practices that cultivate clarity, insight, and compassion. The retreat is designed for both newcomers and experienced practitioners.
Day One
Morning Session: Introduction to Manjushri’s symbolism and mantra. Guided meditation focusing on visualization and invoking the wisdom energy of Manjushri.
Afternoon Session: Teachings on the nature of wisdom in the Buddhist path, followed by group chanting and silent sitting.
Evening Session: Contemplative dialogue and Q&A, with closing prayers for clarity of mind.
Day Two
Morning Session: Deepening the Manjushri visualization practice, focusing on dissolving obstacles to clear seeing.
Afternoon Session: A teaching on applying wisdom in everyday life, supported by meditation on interdependence.
Closing Ritual: Group recitation of the Heart Sutra, dedication of merit, and a short ceremony of light to honor Manjushri’s radiance.
The retreat setting is intentionally quiet and supportive, allowing time for rest, reflection, and personal practice between sessions. Participants will leave with practical tools for bringing the qualities of wisdom and discernment into daily life.
